Lizzie Aveson: LIGHTSABER

Entry #1
Building a LIGHTSABER
Goals:
My next goal is to find a 2.5-3 foot long clear tube that I can use as the saber part. I have the handle and lighting finished but I need to find a stopper to put in both ends of the handle. When I get the clear tube for the saber, it will either be thicker to slide of the handle or it will be small and slip inside the handle.
Background:
The light saber is built with a 1.5' wide and 1' long black tube from Home Depot that makes up the handle. The lights came from Auto Zone, they are used as interior lighting.
Resources:
In the beginning I followed the instructables website:
http://www.instructables.com/id/Make-your-own-lightsaber/
I understood the basic concept and went out and got materials but found an easier way.
Reflection:
Although I need a few more materials to finish my project, finding the right size tubing is making it very difficult. I'm excited to see how this turns out and if I finish early, I might make another one.
Next Steps:
1. Order materials
2.

Entry #2
Building a LIGHTSABER
Goals:
My goal from entry #1 was not met. My goal for the next 2 weeks while I'm away is to search for a 2.5-3 foot clear tube for the saber part of my project. I will also need to find stoppers so materials don't fall out of the tubing.

This may be similar to last weeks goals and background, but there has not been any time to get needed materials for this project.
Next Steps:
1. Find materials
