Journal entry week 4

I have officially decided to build the Magnetic Levitation train. The project will require some high strength magnets, glue, and a basic track and train design. It will be propelled by a fan (or two) and move around the track in a circular motion. With the help of the fans, I believe I can get the train to run its course around the track consistently without my help. My overall goal is to build a fully functional maglev train that can do its job with only the help of fans.

I've noticed one thing in my research that has really stuck out. No one has attempted to add any weight to their train design. Ideally, I'd like to try and get my model to hold some weight (like all normal trains do). This will require more magnets as there will need to be more force between the train and the track. I really like the idea design I have. At first I didn't have any good ideas, but this one hit home with me. I'm really excited to get underway.
