Journal entry week six

Now that I have established what my project will be and assessed what materials and goals I have going forward, I can finally get into the project itself and begin designing my train and track. I have a design layout for the train and track (as you can see below) and have approximated the total number of resources required to successfully complete the project. The track will still be made out of wood, unless there proves to be a better suited material for the design.

Going back to one of the overall goals of the project, I'm hoping to build the lightest train possible so that I can reduce the total amount of magnets needed to keep it levitated. This sparks the question as to what I'm going to build the train out of. I was originally thinking wood, but it seems that it would really weigh my train down. A substitute material that weighs less would be ideal, although I haven't come up with an alternative yet. Beneath you will find a review of all the goals I intend to fulfill going forward. The next step is to start building the building the track, which will take around 4-6 weeks by my estimation.
