Journal Week Entry 4

After doing a bit of research, I am definite on the idea of designing my own house and making a model version of it. This will be a challenge do to the fact I am not a real architect and I am making a replica of my own drawings and design. Another challenge will be learning and using the two softwares that help with 2D and 3D design. Also choosing which software will be the best for this type of project.

The two softwares that I have researched and found are Google Sketch-up and the CAD software. I currently have Google Sketch-up on my computer. The Google software is great for making mostly 3-Dimensional projects and figures. The CAD software is great for creating a 2-Dimensional figure and then creating that into a 3D model. I personally am a little familiar with the Google software and get help if need be. The CAD software is very new to me which will also take time in me learning how to use it. I think I will go with using Google, but below are pictures of both softwares and what they can achieve.
