Journal Entry Week 9

Use the 15% Time Journal Grading Rubric below (or download it from the 15% Time topic page) to write this week's entry. For this entry, you need to address only the Writing, Journal Entry Format, and Reflection Grading Areas from the rubric! You should complete this journal entry after you spend the full time in class doing research and design (R&D).

This week I read an interesting article about experiential education in the classroom. It argued that hands-on projects are not by themselves enough to stimulate true learning. The author of the article suggested that projects need to be minds-on as well, which is what I hope to address through the weekly journal entries. He also suggested asking these 3 questions every day:
  1. What are you doing?
  2. Why are you doing it?
  3. What does this help you do that’s important?
For this week's journal entry, write 3 paragraphs to answer each of these questions and to address the Writing and Reflection Grading Areas below. You must pay attention to spelling, grammar, and sentence structure.

Address the other Grading Areas by completing the following:
  1. Journal Entry Format: Title your entry "Journal Entry Week 9" and include two labels, separated by a comma, in the following format - Justin J., Week 9
