Journal entry week 9

For my project, I am constructing a hockey stick catapult. To do this, I am going to try different things to construct this, wether it is through using a certain flex on the stick to make the arm have spring to it and so on. I am going to be using different materials for this that I have never used before such as different types of screws and drill bits.

The reasons that I am doing this is because this summer I built a table out of hockey sticks, and even though it took me a few hours due to the fact that I cut the sticks to different lengths on accident, it was really fun to do. This project would just be more challenging to do. I have not yet seen a catapult made out of hockey stick so I thought that it would be a good idea to do.

This helps me use my brain a bit more and to become more creative. The thing that this helps me hat is most important is that I have to really think about what I am doing and have to make minimal mistakes due to the fact that there is not a lot to work with. Overall though I think that this is going to be a great project to do and I am looking forward to start constructing it.
