Journal entry week 9

     I am building a fan powered toy car. The structure of the car will be made out of a certain type of wood. The axles of the car will be two medal rods. The four tires will be attached to the medal axles. For the fan I bought a water bottle fan, I will take off the water bottle section of it so all that is left is the fan.For the four tires I will buy a toy car and then detach the tires from it and then attach them to the axle of my car. Going into this product I wanted to challenge myself and I wanted to make the car go up to a certain speed.

      Am doing this project to challenge because I have always had an interest for cars and what's better than actually building one. I wanted to challenge myself and not take the easy way out, I wanted to make the car by putting together all different objects. Also, for my summer job I work for a contractor and I am obligated to build objects on a day to day basis. I love to build things with my hands, so I chose to build a car using my skills.

     There are many things that this helps me do that are important. One being problem solving. There are many different ways to go about building this car. I have to figure out the best and most efficient way to build this car or it ultimately won't be successful. Another way why it is important is that it helps me figure out what important research to take in. When I do research on the car I take in all of the facts that I think could ultimately help the outcome of me product and I block out all of the facts that could slow me down.
