Journal Entry Week 9

For the past couple months I’ve been working on making an ionocraft that will be able to propel itself into the air, and may be even a little bit more extra weight with it. It should be able to lift of as high as 3 times it’s own height, but for that has to be as light as possible, so I used balsa wood for base thin copper for energy transfer, and aluminum foil for receiver.
The reason why i decided to build this machine, is because I am genuinely passionate about high voltage machines, especially the ones that use said energy to move themselves in ways that do not require moving solid parts.

It doesn't really have any real purpose, aside for maybe being used as an over glorified fan. It was originally veiled as a possible breakthrough in transportation area, but once people saw that it required huge amount of energy and could not lift much more than it’s own weight the idea was dismissed.
